Job Description:
A Registered Nurse, or RN, is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Their duties include communicating with Doctors and other Registered Nurses about patient needs, administering IVs and medications to aid their patients’ health and using medical equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
- Observing and interpreting patient’s symptoms and communicating them to physicians
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Monitoring patient’s condition, assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license
- Responsible and compassionate
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- BSc or other diploma from a nursing program
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care & nursing methods & procedured
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow at all times
